This is a simple hex edit that speeds up gameplay on Pokemon Firered v1.0 while keeping it as vanilla as possible. Nothing else has been modified aside from the following:
- Flashbacks disabled. Game starts right away.
- Help menu disabled.
- Running allowed indoors after you beat Brock.
- Disabled TM teaching animation Pokemon instantly learn the TM.
- Faster HM use outside of battle. The move animation is disabled.
To really speed things up go to the menu and always set text to fast, disable battle animations, and switch battle type to set.
